I’m Lou. Publisher. Knitter. Bookworm.

(And your secret weapon when it comes to turning those notebook scribbles into completed stories.)

Hundreds of editors and agents want to read your story.

Lou Grosart

I know this because I work with them. I’ve been in the publishing industry for over 12 years.

But, as a writer myself, I’m all-too-familiar with those pesky things that make us lose momentum and talk ourselves out of pursuing our writing dreams.

You only have to Google “how to get published” (I’m sure you already have) to go down a rabbit hole of conflicting information and decide to give up on your writing dreams there and then!

Yes, publishing is competitive, and yes, writing a novel is difficult.

But if writing books is your dream, you owe it to yourself to make that happen.

Besides – how are those agents ever going to find you if you’re not writing and submitting things?

Lou Grosart - ScribbleCreate

I know how hard it is to write a book. I set up ScribbleCreate so it doesn’t have to be.

I wanted to create a place where budding writers can get the guidance, accountability and regular feedback they need to make the writing process seem, dare I say it… joyful.

People tend to have a version in their head of what a book editor is. Usually a

judgey, bespectacled grammar fiend who will shout at them if they spell something wrong.

Well, I do wear glasses. But I can promise not to shout.

And I can certainly promise never to make you feel bad about grammar or spelling. When it comes to writing a novel, ideas, energy and enthusiasm are so much more important anyway.

Plus, I guarantee I’ll be just as passionate about your idea as you are. Helping writers become authors lights me up.

There are plenty of writing courses out there, so you might be asking, ‘why, Lou, have you bothered setting up another one?’

Well, firstly, because there really aren’t writing programmes like the ones I offer.

I know firsthand the main barrier to writing is just keeping at it. It’s so easy for life to get in the way, and trust me: if you let it, it will.

Through working with me as your writing coach, you’ll not only tap into over a decade of my insider knowledge accrued working in publishing for the likes of Penguin Random House and delivering workshops at London Writer’s Salon, but also get a cheerleader, regular feedback and radical accountability to keep you writing.

Wherever you are on your writing journey, ScribbleCreate will meet you there with tons of enthusiasm, support and advice to keep you going.
